Shipping policy
Last updated July 2026
Every order ships free, hazmat-compliant, by ground freight. This page sets out exactly when your cylinders leave the warehouse, how long they take, and what has to happen at the delivery address.
01Free shipping on every order
Shipping is free on all orders delivered within the contiguous United States. There is no minimum spend, no cylinder count threshold and no hazmat surcharge added at checkout — the price you see on the product page is the price you pay.
Alaska, Hawaii and US territories are quoted individually because ground hazmat service is limited. Contact us before ordering to those destinations.
02Dispatch times
Stocked lines are dispatched within one business day of the order clearing certification review. Orders placed at weekends or on federal holidays are processed on the next business day.
Where an order requires certification review, dispatch starts once your documentation has been accepted.
03Transit times
Refrigerant cylinders are dangerous goods and travel by ground only — they cannot be sent by air passenger service, so overnight and two-day air options are not available at any price.
- Regional (1–2 zones): 1–2 business days.
- Central and East Coast: 2–4 business days.
- West Coast and mountain states: 3–5 business days.
04Packaging and compliance
Shipments are packed and documented under 49 CFR: correct UN classification (typically UN1078, or UN1011 for hydrocarbon refrigerants), orientation and hazard labelling, placarding where required, and emergency response information travelling with the load.
05Delivery requirements
An adult signature is mandatory on every hazmat delivery. Carriers will not leave cylinders unattended, in a lobby or with a neighbour.
Provide a business address wherever possible. Residential hazmat delivery is available but adds a day in most lanes, and some carriers will only deliver to a curbside point.
Inspect the shipment before signing. Note any damage on the delivery receipt — it is far harder to claim afterwards.
06Tracking
You receive a tracking number by email as soon as the shipment is manifested. Freight tracking updates less frequently than parcel tracking; a gap of a day between scans is normal and not a sign of a lost shipment.
07State restrictions
California and New York restrict certain high-GWP refrigerants in specific end uses. We flag affected lines on the product page and may ask you to confirm the intended application before shipping R-404A or R-507A into those states.
08Lost or damaged shipments
Report a damaged or missing shipment within 7 days of the delivery or expected delivery date. We open the carrier claim on your behalf and ship a replacement rather than making you wait for the claim to close.
